Cult Gaia Purse

Hello loves

Summer is winding up for me and I wanted to share my favorite accessory of the season…the Gaias Ark bag by Cult Gaia.  A couple month back, I noticed this bag everywhere.  It seemed like the perfect summer addition for my wardrobe.  I originally ordered a large, but ended up returning it for a small.  I love the structure of this Japanese inspired picnic bag.  It adds the perfect mix of casual and fun to an outfit.  It was perfect during my Hawaiian getaway and I can see myself carrying it into Spring.

Favorite exercise outfit by Lululemon

Aloha loves,

I’ve been soaking up the sun and enjoying life in Hawaii.  I’m visiting the island of Oahu and staying in the Ko Olina Resort area. The area is beautiful and makes my morning run all the more enjoyable.  I’ve been loving this exercise set by Lululemon.  The   Quick Pace shorts are incredibly comfortable.  They are not only stylish but functional.  The zippered pocket in back and storage pocket in front waistband are very handy.  I paired it with the Invigorate bra of the same pattern.  My workout mostly consists of running and ab exercises.  We’ve also been doing some hiking.  I’ve been keeping active on vacation and living in my bathing suit and workout clothes.  Isn’t that what vacation is about?

Beach On A Budget

I’ve just landed in Hawaii! Of course I’m headed straight to the beach. It’s super hard to find affordable swimwear these days, but I’ve found the perfect websites to provide me with the cutest bikinis that are under $20! Such a steal. Instead of spending a fortune on my swimwear, I can now put that extra buck towards a greater adventure out here.

You can find my bikini or even cuter ones on!

Coachella Fashion

What To Wear To A Summer Music Festival

Music festivals are one of my favorite events and one of the best places to scout out the summer trends.  This year, I was lucky enough to attend the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California.  It was my first time to this festival and I wanted to look my Coachella best.  This festival in particular, is as much about the music as it is about the fashion.  The style bar is set high and fashionistas flock to Coachella.  The festival takes place in the desert, so the temperatures can soar into triple digits.  I had the time of my life and hope I’m able to return next year.

Brandy Melville Red Lillian Dress

This Red Lillian Dress from Brandy Melville has been on popular rotation in my closet. Like most items at Brandy Melville, it’s incredibly comfortable.  This dress also adds a pop of color to my summer wardrobe.   I wore it to a Fourth of July pool party and it was perfect for the occasion.  I find the color red to be flattering both in person and in photographs.  I love the pictures of the red Brandy dress with the red auto shop sign in the background.  My talented photographer friend Dani VanWinkle always has a great eye for both color and light.

Believe the Hype for the All-In-One Hanacure Facial

If you’ve been on Instagram lately or follow K-Beauty products…you’ve most likely come across the All-in-One Hanacure Facial.  Celebrities, Instagrammers, Bloggers, Vloggers and everyone and their Mothers are trying out this Insta-perfect facial mask coming from the epicenter of  cutting-edge beauty products…South Korea.  One visit to their site comparing before and after pics will make you a believer…or at least for me, an impulsive consumer.

The packaging of this product is reminiscent of an Apple product, very sleek and modern. Inside, you will find a small vile of Lifting Serum which you will mix with the Gelling Solution and apply onto your face with the included Hanacure brush.  The directions are clear and simple.

Once you’ve applied the gel evenly to your face, neck and hands, you will begin to feel an intense tightening sensation.  Make sure you RELAX and MINIMIZE facial movement to maximize the effectiveness of the mask.  The mask fuses with the carbon dioxide in the air resulting in the intense pulling effect.  I used this 30 minutes to meditate and imagine all my blackheads being extracted at once.  I love skin care products that I can “feel” working and Hanacure definitely accomplishes this.

Before washing the mask off with warm water, I had to snap a picture to remind myself of the importance of taking care of my skin today for tomorrow. I hope this picture is not an accurate prediction of what I will look or feel like in 30 years.

After the mask, my face felt amazing. I was a bit red, but that subsided quickly.  My pores appeared nonexistent.  My complexion was much more even and my face was as smooth as a babies booty.  I’m extremely happy with the results.  Hanacure recommends using this product twice a week until the desired results are achieved.  For me, I can see myself using this product before special occasions when I need my skin to look its best.  Believe the Hanacure hype…your blackheads want out and your wrinkles need smoothing.  The Hanacure Facial is a must try so believe the hype!

How To Wear a Sheer Top

I found this sheer top at Top Shop and just had to have it.  I love the tie-sleeve details that give it a delicate feel.  I paired it with a lace halter bra of the same color and some distressed boyfriend jeans and leather jacket for a more urban look.  I could also dress it up and make it more feminine.  The versatility of a sheer top makes it a great piece to have in your closet.

Ava in Santa Barbara

Hi Loves!

Last week I visited the beautiful, seaside city of Santa Barbara, California.  It was my first time vacationing here so I was eager to explore and soak in the vibe.  We took a drive along the coast and headed towards downtown…specifically State Street.  State Street is filled with great specialty shops, restaurants, art galleries, gorgeous boutiques and of course many of my favorite national brand stores like…Urban, Brandy Melville and Sephora.  Yes…I can spend all my days here.  I’m in my element.

We rented bicycles one afternoon and cruised along Cabrilllo Boulevard towards Leadbetter Beach.  A break was needed and the Shoreline Beach Cafe was the perfect spot.  With my toes in the sand, I enjoyed some of the best guacamole I’ve had in a long time.  A leisurely bike ride sure does work up an appetite!

They say one must get out on the water when in Santa Barbara.  Honestly, I’m a bit terrified of getting “in” the water…I’ve heard one too many shark tales.  We decided to take a Sunset Cruise on June 21st…which happened to be Summer Solstice.  It also happened to be one of the most beautiful sunsets I’ve seen in a long time.

We ended the week with an afternoon at the Spa at Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore Santa Barbara.  I had an amazing massage and steamed my worries away.  This hotel is beautiful and the service is excellent.  It’s located right across the street from Butterfly Beach…which makes for a great place for one last stroll before heading home.

Floral Romper for Brunch in Santa Barbara

I recently returned from a week in Santa Barbara, California. This trip came at the perfect time because an epic heatwave was hitting Northern California and we were able to escape south to the cool Central Coast.  During our trip, we had brunch at the Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore Santa Barbara.  I wore this floral romper that was both comfortable and cute.  Floral is a big trend this season and it was perfect for Santa Barbara. The grounds at this hotel are breathtaking and the brunch was yummy.

How To Wear Denim In The Summer

Summer temperatures in Northern California can range from cool by the Bay, to way too hot inland.  San Francisco summers are known to be on the cool side.  If you are lucky enough to find yourself in the City, an oversized denim jacket can be your cozy best friend. Here’s how I styled my denim jacket for a summer afternoon in the City.
